I'm fundraising for Prevent Breast Cancer
I'm fundraising for a cause close to my heart - Prevent Breast Cancer, the UK's only charity committed to the prediction and prevention of breast cancer. Prevent Breast Cancer funds ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing breast cancer for future generations. Their research will one day bring about a world where breast cancer is preventable and thousands are saved from ever experiencing this terrible disease.

Wednesday 22nd AprTaking on the London to Brighton 55-Mile Ride for Prevent Breast Cancer
This year, I’ve decided to take on a challenge that feels both exciting and deeply personal: the London to Brighton 55-mile bike ride in support of Prevent Breast Cancer.
Cycling 55 miles is no small feat for me. It’s going to take training, determination, and more than a little perseverance. There will no doubt be moments along the way where my legs are burning, the hills feel endless, and I question why I signed up in the first place. But I already know the answer.
I’m doing this in memory of my dear nanna/grandma who we sadly lost to this horrible disease in 2019.
Losing someone you love to breast cancer changes you. It’s something that stays with you—the memories, the heartbreak, and the wish that more could have been done. That’s why this ride means so much more than just a physical challenge. It’s a way to honour their memory and to be part of something that could help prevent other families from going through the same pain.
Prevent Breast Cancer is a charity focused on research and early detection. Their work is vital in improving survival rates and, ultimately, stopping breast cancer before it starts. Supporting them feels like a meaningful way to turn loss into action.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be training hard to prepare for the ride. Every mile I cycle will be with purpose, thinking of why I started this journey and who I’m riding for. Whether it’s early mornings, long weekend rides, or pushing through tough days, it will all be worth it when I cross that finish line in Brighton.
If you’re able to support me, any donation—big or small—would mean the world. Your generosity will go directly towards funding life-saving research and helping to create a future where fewer people have to face this disease.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you so much for your support.
